Seminar on Total Defence & Security Development

26 May 2016 -  MiDAS collaborate with Institute of Public Safety of Malaysia (IPSOM) was successfully organized a seminar on Total Defence And Security & Development at Royale Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 26 May 2016. This seminar was graced by MiDAS Chief Executive - Datuk Azizan Bin Md Delin. The first speaker was Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dr Khoo Kay Kim- a national historian from the Department of History University Malaya. He gave talk on "Historical Background and The Public responsibilities Towards HANRUH and KESBAN". The second speaker was Prof Dato' Dr Zakaria bin Haji Ahmad which is MiDAS fellow with his topic "Reflection and Issue Areas of HANRUH and KESBAN". And the last speaker was Prof Dato' Paduka Mohamad bin Abu Bakar delivered the talk on "Malaysia National Security in a Globalised Context: An Insight Into Total Defence and Security & Development".  The seminar was attended by Dato' Dr Lee Bee Phang, CEO of IPSOM, representatives from MAF and also MiDAS Officers and staff .

Visit By Joint Staff College of Japan Self Defence Force

08th June 2016 -  On 08 June 2016, a delegation from Joint Staff College of Japan Self Defence Force visited MiDAS. The delegation headed by Vice Admiral Sakata Ryuzo was received by Datuk Azizan Bin Md Delin, Chief Executive of MiDAS.  During the visit the Joint Staff College of Japan Self Defence Force delegation was briefed on MiDAS roles and task that coordinate National Blue Ocean Strategy initiatives and conducts research and analysis on policies related to defence and security. The visit ended with a presentation of memento.

Courtesy call by Senior Research Fellow of China Institute for International Strategic Studies (CIISS)

30 August 2016 - Lt Gen Datuk Azizan Bin Md Delin, Chief Executive of MiDAS received a courtesy call by Senior Research Fellow of China Institute for International Strategic Studies (CIISS), Sr Col (Rtd) Chen Fangming on 30th August 2016. Sr Col (Rtd) Chen Fangming was given an insight into MiDAS organization, activities and its function as a think tank for MinDef. As a token of appreciation Chief Executive of MiDAS presented him with MiDAS's publication.
