30^th March 2021 - In conjunction with Women’s Day, the Malaysian Army Women’s Committee organised a forum entitled “Wanita dan Cabaran”, Lt Kol Dr Maimunah binti Omar, Assistant Director for Contemporary Security Study Centre, MiDAS was invited to moderate the forum.

The panellists were Dato Dr Junaidah bt Kamaruddin Fellow from Malaysia National Defence University and Puan Rosliza binti Abd Rahman, Senior Analyst from The South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre. The forum discussed the growing interest of Malaysian women to be part of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the crucial roles entrusted to women in the three branches of the military service.
