11^st July 2023 -Dr Felix Heiduk, Head of Asia Division, German Institute for International and Security Affairs - Open Discussion, topic related to South China Sea and Sino American Relationship-In present : Representatives from MINDEF (Policy Dept), MAF (Army, Navy, Air Force and MDIO)

Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS) headed by Major General Dato' Hj. Ya'cob Bin Hj Samiran, Chief Executive received a courtesy call from Dr Felix Heiduk, Head of Asia Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs and Lt Col Marc Ascui, German Defence Attaché. Following the courtesy call, Dr Heiduk was invited to sign MiDAS visitor book and presented with a MiDAS publications.

After a group photo was taken and the visit ended with a roundtable discussion with MiDAS, Ministry of Defence and Malaysian Armed Forces representatives. The discussion started with a short introduction on MiDAS followed by an exchange of views on the current development in South China Sea, Sino American relationship, ASEAN centrality and the Ukraine-Russia War.
