23^th November 2023 -Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS) received a visit from University Malaysia Terengganu students and researchers led by Dr Mazli Harun. The visit started with a courtesy call on Major General Dato' Hj. Ya'cob Bin Hj Samiran,Chief Executive of MiDAS and a photo session with an exchange of momentos.

Following the courtesy call a roundtable discussion was held led by Captain Hazlan Hazumi RMN, Director of Maritime Security in MiDAS with a briefing on Malaysia National Security Policy, followed by a briefing on the Defence White Paper by Dr Syed Mohamad Syakir the Assistant Secretary D10 from the Policy and Strategic Planning Division.

The next briefing was on the Five Power Defence Arrangements by Dr Yuzlina Mohd Yusop, Principal Assistant Secretary D1 of the Policy and Strategic Planning Division and the final briefing on Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) before the discussion commenced was delivered by Mrs. Mastura Moh Das, Principle Assistant Secretary from the Defence Industry Division. There was an active discussion following all the briefing between the students, researchers and speakers on all four topics briefed. The visit ended with another photo session with all the speakers.
