13^th Sept 2018 - A roundtable discussion was held in MiDAS during the visit of Dr. S. Vasu Vaitla, The US Head of Counter Violent Extremism (CVE), Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO) and entourage. During the session, The Chief Executive of MiDAS Lt Gen Dato’ Suhaimi Zuki and staff of MiDAS discussed and exchange views with their US counterparts on addressing the current problems of extremism leading to terrorism. Both sides gave constructive ideas and possible approaches based on previous experiences as well as suggested levels of cooperation in dealing with the threats of violent extremism.
