18th August 2021 - MiDAS Executive Dialogue Serial 1/2021 titled “Maritime Sovereignty Amidst Covid Pandemic” was successfully organised by the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS) online through the Cisco Webex platform.
The dialogue was delivered by Vice Admiral Dato’ Aris Adi Tan bin Abdullah, Commander of the National Task Force (NTF) and moderated by Miss Nor Aini Binti Mohd Nordin, Assistant Director of Maritime Security, MiDAS. The dialogue talk started with a background on NTF, followed by the area of operation, data on NTF achievement, challenges, and way forward.
Overall the presentation clearly imparts how the illegal migrant has an impact on the Covid-19 pandemic and what draws them to come to Malaysia. The talk generated a healthy discussion with participants posing numerous questions that require in-depth and detailed information from the speaker.
