25th August 2022-The MiDAS Executive Dialogue Serial 5/2022 titled “UNCLOS and The Indo Pacific" was successfully organised by the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS). The dialogue was attended by over 30 participants.
The dialogue was moderated by Capt Tay Yap Leong RMN, Director of the Maritime Security, MiDAS. The dialogue was delivered by Prof Stuart Kaye a Director and Professor of Law within the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security. He holds the rank of Commander in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve, serving as a legal officer, principally providing advice in operations and international law for the ADF and Maritime Border Command. His talk focussed primarily on UNCLOS and selected arbitration cases across the Indo Pacific region.The talk ended with the signing of the MiDAS Visitor book and an exchange of momentos.
