16th July 2024 - Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS) represented by Ms Nor Aini Binti Mohd Nordin, Assistant Director of Maritime Security was invited to give a talk to introduce the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS) to the distinguished delegations from the National Resillience Institute Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI) at Wisma Perwira.

The delegation, consisted of 32 officers and staff, was led by Air Vice Marshall Palito Sitorus.

The presentation highlighted MiDAS main role within the Ministry of Defence and its contribution in development of defence policies documents as well as its publications. Other speakers invited were Mr. Kamarul Hafidzan bin Kamaruddin, Principal Assistant Secretary from the Policy and Strategic Planning Division at the Ministry of Defence Malaysia, who provided an overview of Malaysia's Defence White Paper and Lt Col Syed Faisal bin Syed Abdul Kadir RMAF, Staff Officer 1 - Air, Defence Planning Division, MAF HQ who gave a briefing on the MAF organisational structure, main role as well as tasks.

The programme was organised by the Defence Training Division of the Malaysian Armed Forces Headquarters (MAF HQ). It ended with a dynamic question and answer session, that allowed the delegations to engaged directly with the speakers.
