On September 3, 2024, Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi, Defence Advisor at the High Commission of Pakistan, visited the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS).

The visit began with a courtesy call to Major General Dato' Hj Ya'cob bin Hj Samiran, the Chief Executive of MiDAS.

Lt Col Ts Dr Maimunah binti Omar, Assistant Director of Comprehensive Security at MiDAS, delivered a detailed briefing on the institute's roles and responsibilities. She also presented an overview of the Defence White Paper, providing Commodore Niazi with insights into Malaysia's defense policies and strategies.

The visit included a constructive discussion and exchange of views between Commodore Niazi and the MiDAS team. The event concluded with the exchange of momentos, symbolizing the strengthened relationship between the institutions, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
