September 10, 2024, Colonel Arita Satoshi, the Defense Attaché from the Japanese Embassy, recently paid a courtesy visit to YBhg Mejar General Dato' Hj Ya'cob bin Hj Samiran, the Chief Executive of MiDAS.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and align on various defense and security programs planned for the current year as well as for the future.
During the discussion, which also included the presence of Commander Ryosuke Yawata, the Maritime Attaché from the Japanese Embassy, both parties reviewed and endorsed several proposed initiatives.
These programs are aimed at enhancing bilateral defense cooperation, sharing expertise, and fostering stronger ties between Japan and Malaysia. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to furthering their collaborative efforts and strengthening their strategic partnership in the defense sector.
