On 26 November 2024, Colonel Inuta Masaaki and 15 officers from Japan's Joint Advanced Course visited MiDAS. The visit began with a courtesy call to the Chief Executive of MiDAS. The delegation then discussed the Taiwan Straits and the South China Sea with Midas.

During the discussion, the Joint Advanced Course officers shared their perspectives. They exchanged views with their Malaysian counterparts on the complex issues surrounding the Taiwan Straits and the South China Sea. Both sides emphasized the need for diplomatic solutions and further dialogue to address both issues.
The delegation's visit is another defence diplomacy agenda aimed at strengthening ties between Japan and Malaysia, particularly in defence, security, and regional cooperation.
