KUALA LUMPUR, February 26, 2025 -MiDAS received a visit from a delegation of the Defence Intelligence Headquarters (DIH). The delegation was led by Capt Nakamura Hiroyuki from the Directorate of Assessment with Ms Taha Misato. Also present during the visit was the Defence Attaché (DA) of Japan to Malaysia, Col Arita Satoshi.

A bilateral discussion was held in the MiDAS's Meeting Room, chaired by Brig Gen Isa bin Daud, Director General of Comprehensive Defence. MiDAS provided a briefing on the Current Security Issues in the South China Sea, delivered by the Director of Maritime Security, Capt Hazlan bin Hazumi TLDM. Subsequently, the Japanese delegation provided a briefing on the Regional Environment in Southeast Asia on the current policies under President Trump.

The visit concluded with the book signing ceremony by the Head of the Japanese Delegation, Capt Nakamura Hiroyuki, witnessed by Brig Gen Isa bin Daud, followed by a photo session. The visit session ended at 12:00 noon.
