The Institute of Strategy Governance (ISG), under the United States Department of Defense, jointly organised the course in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence Malaysia.

The panel session, focused on the theme “Traditional Threats”, brought together key national defence leaders to provide strategic insights into evolving defence challenges. He also underscored the importance of credible deterrence, inter-agency coordination, and regional cooperation, particularly those within the Defence White Paper, as key tools in preserving national sovereignty and maritime security.

The panel engaged in a robust dialogue with participants, comprising junior to mid-level officers and policymakers from various divisions within the Ministry of Defence, enriching the strategic discourse on Malaysia’s defence priorities amidst a complex geopolitical environment.
