Track II Network of ASEAN Defence and Security Institutions (NADI) Annual General Meeting is being was held from 29 April to 1 May 2025 at Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands, Pahang.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Lieutenant General Dato’ Seri Haji Muhammad Huzaimi bin Sabri, Chief Executive of MiDAS also the Chairman of the NADI Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025.

NADI serves as a Track II mechanism that facilitates continuous dialogue and intellectual exchange among ASEAN defence and security think tanks. It complements and supports the formal process of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and plays a crucial role in strengthening regional confidence, enhancing transparency, and promoting strategic cooperation.

Total of 13 institutions from ASEAN member states as well as from Malaysia, involving 43 delegates, participated for the AGM.

Key discussions during the meeting focus on the strategic role of ADMM in addressing the increasingly complex and diverse challenges facing ASEAN unity, and on harnessing emerging technologies to strengthen ASEAN solidarity from a security and defence perspective.

Two main topics discussed during the AGM was “The Strategic Role of ADMM in Addressing the Complex and Diverse Challenges Facing ASEAN Unity” and “Harnessing Emerging Technologies to Strengthen ASEAN Unity: A Strategic Perspective from ADMM”.

The Track II Network of ASEAN Defence and Security Institutions (NADI) Annual General Meeting officially concluded on 1 May 2025.
